Packaging Matters Opening Weekend Special!
This April to September, explore the complex history of food packaging in Singapore at the National Museum of Singapore’s new exhibition, Packaging Matters: Singapore’s Food Packaging Story from the Early 20th Century. Discover compelling stories of the pioneers and players that have shaped this history, and learn about the future of packaging and eco-friendly practices towards reducing our environmental footprint. Join us for a fun-filled weekend of activities to celebrate the opening of the exhibition, as part of the Singapore Heritage Festival!

Film Screenings and Indoor Picnic

Catch screenings of Royston Tan’s Old Friends as well as selected finalists from the Singapore Heritage Short Film Competition 2018 throughout the day. Enjoy an indoor picnic while discovering the personal stories of the people who produce retail and consume food in Singapore's shifting heritage food landscape.
