Let our storytellers inspire your little ones with intriguing and colourful tales from the past! Featuring engaging dramatisation and interaction, these sessions are a wonderful introduction to Singapore’s history and heritage. This session is brought to you by Prof Beth Fredericks, Prof Wong Seet Fun and early childhood educators from Wheelock College.

Plus, join our friendly educators at the end of each storytelling session in the children’s activity space for drop-in activities or take away the craft materials for more family fun at home!

This session is limited to 20 children aged 5 to 12, on a first come, first served basis. Please register outside Singapore History Gallery from 2pm.

About the Storytellers
Prof Beth Fredericks has been teaching students of early childhood education in Singapore for almost ten years. She is the Executive Director of the Bachelor’s degree programme at the Singapore Institute of Technology/Wheelock College-Singapore.

Prof Wong Seet Fun is an artist and a graduate of the Wheelock College Master’s degree programme in early childhood education. As the founder and owner of Art Loft, she has been teaching art to young children and adults for more than 10 years. She has worked in many of Singapore’s museums and teaches in the Bachelor’s programme at Wheelock College.

Wheelock College’s first- and second-year Bachelor’s degree students are participating in the National Museum of Singapore Storytelling Programme as their part of their Service Learning requirement for graduation. Giving back to Singapore’s young children and families has been a cornerstone of the Wheelock College programme, whose motto is to “inspire a world of good”.
