The German Film Festival (GFF) will present its 21st edition from 2 to 12 November 2017. From art-house productions, to comedies, retrospectives and documentaries, the line-up showcases the multi-layered dynamism of contemporary life and current issues in Germany and of the world-at-large – with themes of migration, gender and European identity.

The Festival will feature a special retrospective in celebration of the long-standing partnership between the festival and the museum. Titled “Play It Again”, the retrospective will feature important films from the 1970s to the 2010s, by prominent German directors such as Werner Herzog (“Fitzcarraldo”) and Jan-Ole Gerster (“Oh Boy”).

The 2017 edition will open at the National Museum of Singapore. Other screening venues include selected Golden Village theatres, The Projector and the Singapore Botanic Gardens. The full programme will be released from mid-October at http://www.goethe.de/singapore/germanfilmfestival
