50 Years of Television: An Exhibition - Open Call for Photographs

National Museum of Singapore

Remember your family’s first television set? Can you imagine your home without one?

This November, the National Museum of Singapore will be presenting 50 Years of Television: An Exhibition. We are looking for personal photographs taken with the television to be featured in this one-of-a-kind exhibition.

Share with us a photo of your family’s first television set or your latest high-tech television, visible in the background of everyday events such as a birthday party, a simple family meal or a fun time hanging out with your friends in your bedroom.

We are interested in any photographs taken in Singapore from the 1960s up to the present that shows the television set in a social setting. Have something in your family album or smartphone photo album that you would like to share? Email your submission to, along with a short write-up of your memories of the event and when the photo was taken (if you remember!). We will contact you if your photograph is selected for the exhibition.
