Beijing and Cantonese opera fans, rejoice! Cheer Singapore’s very own Cultural Medallion receipients and grand dames of opera at these two special performances.
Be enraptured once again as Singapore’s most celebrated Beijing opera doyenne, 93-year-old Phan Wait Hong, takes to the stage with special guest, Bai Yan in Diao Jing Gui, a story about an unfilial son. On Sunday, Joanna Wong will reprise scenes and provide glimpses of what goes on behind the scenes from her most famous Cantonese opera performances.
