A source of inspiration and fascination, the long love affair of the West with all things Arabian reached its peak in the golden era of silent cinema, which created many cinematic works of lush beauty and stunning allure. The National Museum Cinémathèque presents two such classic gems of the world cinema, The Adventures of Prince Achmed and The Son of the Sheik, which depicted the nostalgia and sensuous Arab world as seen through Western eyes.
