Ten years before Walt Disney brought Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to the big screen, Berlin-born avant-garde filmmaker Lotte Reiniger created The Adventures of Prince Achmed (Die Abenteur des Prinzen Achmed) - the first surviving full-length animated feature in movie history. Hailed as one of the great classics of cinema, this film is a stunning and ethereal interpretation of the fables in the renowned and well-loved medieval Middle Eastern literary epic, The Arabian Nights. The screening of The Adventures of Prince Achmed at the National Museum of Singapore will be accompanied by a live music performance of Singaporean musician, The Analog Girl, who has created a new piece of music especially for the film.
